Is my k & n air filter a good shape? - air filter comparison
I recently purchased a K & N filter in a car magazine and seems to be a different shape, what I expected, I see shapes that are large plant at the end and then decreases with an inside diameter and uses length, but I opened the box and the small end is the attachment to this page, and the filter is larger in diameter towards the end. Even at the end of the filter (and) not with the union that has no plastic, is filtered in the upper airway. There is also a bit smaller than others I've seen. (Although that was recommended by a member of the Bank).
Sorry if this is confusing.
My main question is whether this is for good air circulation, because the alternative would be to receive in comparison.

The shape of the filter is not as important as the volume of airflow.
whether the volume of ritual is the way looks like.
If it is an application of the values that shape and appearance of the filter is defined by the required application.
If the separation is to conserve, the more likely is a cone filter, so that the terminals in the city on a tube / pipe of any kind
Air flow is not strongly influenced by air between the stock and pitfalls of partitioning.
How much K & N filter is set?
Since we assume that this is a configuration of values, the K & N filter is better designed for more open air, fewer restrictions and less turbulence.
The shape of these filters will not have much impact on performance.
The last filter is the filter material is a good thing because it provides more filter area equal to more air flow.
What U should worry is where the air is used as a reference.
The standard Commodore box filter has a tube attached to the front of the airbox that draws cool air behind the lighthouse. Sell A style pod filter as air is drawn from the engine compartment and may harm the performance years.
